Samsung announced to launch its own Instant Messaging service, ChatON in a few days.
It would allow users to communicate easily, share videos, pictures calendar and contacts from their mobile phone. It has a feature of group chat using the phone number of the users having the newly launched handsets from Samsung. The ChatON application would come preinstalled in upcoming Samsung feature phones, Bada phone and Galaxy phones.The app would also be launched for Apple and Blackberry in future that will be competing with Apple's iMessage and Blackberry messenger (BBM). The app would also be available for PC.
The ChatON IM service will be showcased at IFA 2011 in September and it would be launched in October in more than 120 countries around the world and would support up to 62 languages.
